Changchun Corn Industrial Zone
Corn Industrial Zone is located in the northeast of Changchun city with a planning area of 4.5 square kilometers. Both the National Highway 101 and 102 traverse the south and west respectively and Changtu Railway runs just to the south. It lies at the starting point of the northeast wing of Changchun City and exerts itself as crucial in its role as a method of transport. Haerbin can be reached from the Corn Zone in the north. In the future, a road to the airport through Xinglongshan southern area is to be constructed as a direct means of travel to Long Ka International Airport. The Zone lies (predominantly) downwind of Changchun City and is subject to fewer bio-chemical industry restrictions. This is conductive to further development of the bio-energy industry and promotes a flourishing corn industry. CNC, therefore, signed a municipal BT-model investment agreement with local municipal government in 2006 and was able to complete the overall project by the end of the year. This infrastructure development project has greatly improved the investment environment. Prospects for future development of Corn Industrial Zone appear promising.
