Zha Dun Reservior Project in Ya Keshi City
Why initiate the project?
A new project with tremendous development potential has come into our mind after a thorough research conducted in Inner Mongolia, namely., Zha Dun Reservior Project in Ya Keshi City. The project, through an overall research implemented, has displayed immeasurable effects on ecology and society as well, and thus won overwhelming supports from Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Government, local authorities of water conservancy, and Ya Keshi Municipal government.
Initial geological survey and exploration turns out that a smaller sum of investment is required, provided pitch concrete gravel banks convenient for construction are built, a consequence of comparing and analyzing four alternatives: pitch concrete gravel banks, sand banks, pitch concrete stone banks, and concrete board stone banks.

Our strength
The project is intended to serve as a multifunctional reservior for flood control, water supply, irrigation and electric power supply, etc. Its overall flood-control compacity reaches 94.8 million m3 when completed. by 2030 Its total water conservancy capacity topps 34 million m3, meeting requirements by both industries and irrigation for 34 thousand mu field in the lower reach. It also offers 71.88 million m3 of water supply annually to the lower reach, of which 67.47 million m3 is supplied for urban city and industries, a guaranted rate of 97%; and 4.41million m3 of water supply to the lower irrigation area, or rather 85% of total compacity. Zhadun Reservior Genearation Station has a total compacity of 3400 kw, a 75% guaranted rate ensuring 856 kw of electric power, an increase of 10.58 million kw/h per year. An annual utilization of electric power ammounting to 3,112 hours. A conclusion is, thus, reached that the reservior is beneficial to the whole region and its local residents, and that a booming Ya Keshi city requires a prompt initiation of the project.
Project Progress
Currently, we are holdiing positive discussions with local municipal governement in the light of research findings. A more specific way of co-operation and rules of implementation are stated in the contract signed and observed by both parties.
